LI 2 Acupuncture Point(Erjian) belongs to the Large Intestine Meridian of Hand-Yangming,which is commonly used to relieve and treat dizziness, eye pain, sore throat, toothache, indigestion, etc.

On the radial side of the index finger distal to the 2nd metacarpophalangeal joint in a depression at the border of the red and white skin.

What is the meaning of Erjian

Erjian:Er,Second,the approximate number,refers to smaller here.Jian,gap,refer to the place where point is located.The name of “Erjian” means the qi of this acupoint is location on not too high of the heaven. The substance of this acupoint is the warm water-qi from LI 1 acupuncture acupoint(Shangyang), The name of Erjian is the explanation of the spatial range where the qi of this acupoint is located, hence the name.
