Rangu acupoint (KD 2)is one of the acupoints in the kidney meridian of Foot-Shaoyin, which is commonly used for pharyngitis, cystitis, urethritis, irregular menstruation and other diseases.

What is the meaning of Rangu

Rangu:Ran, refers to burning,Gu,refers to the gap between the two mountains. The name of Rangu means that the ground channel water of the kidney meridian is vaporized here. The substance of this point is the meridian water with warm from the Yongquan point. After reaching this point, a large amount of water is vaporized,like burning and evaporating, hence the name.

What is Rangu acupoint used for

1. Diseases of the genitourinary system: cystitis, urethritis, orchitis, lack of semen, enuresis;

2. Diseases of the ENT system: pharyngitis, tonsillitis;

3. Gynecology system diseases: irregular menstruation, infertility;

4. Others: myocarditis, itching, diabetes etc;

Combined with Shenshu point, Qihai point, Zhishi point, used for spermatorrhea;

Combined with Shenshu point, Guanyuan point, Taixi point, Sanyinjiao point,used for irregular menstruation;

Combined with Zhongji point, Xuehai point, Sanyinjiao point, used for pruritus vulvae;

Combined with Chengshan point,used for Muscle cramps;

Combined with Qichong and Siman point, used for stony edema;

Combined with Taixi point,used for annoyance and cold feet;
