GB 17 Acupuncture Point(Zhengying) belongs to Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang,which is commonly used for dizziness, headache,and other head disease,puncture 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
GB 17 Acupuncture Point Location
On the head, 3.5 cun above the anterior hairline and 2.25 cun lateral to the midline of the head (1.5 cun posterior to GB 16).

What is the meaning of Zhengying
Zhengying:”Zheng”,right.”Ying”,rescue. The name of “Zhengying” means that the hot wind-qi of the Gallbladder Meridian dissipates heat and condenses into the yang-qi of the heaven. The substance of this point is the hot wind-qi from GB 16(Muchuang) point. After reaching this point, the hot wind-qi will dissipate heat and condense into Yang-qi. The hot wind-qi does not become cold dampness-qi due to this point support, hence the name.
