On the head, 1.5 cun posterior to GB 15, 2 cun above the anterior hairline and 2.25 cun lateral to the midline of the head.
What is the meaning of Muchuang
“Mushuang”: “Mu”,Eye, refers to the wind-qi of this point.”Chuang”, window,the channel for Qi exchange. The name of “Muchuang” means that the Qi of Gallbladder Channel absorb heat and turn into hot yang-qi. The substance of this acupoint is the weakness dampness-qi from GB 15(Toulinqi) point. After reaching this point, due to absorbing heat,the weakness dampness-qi expands and transforms into hot wind-qi,and goes out of this point,hence the name.
