CV 7 Acupuncture Point(Yinjiao),alias Shaoguan, Henghu,belongs to Ren Vessel,crossing point of the Ren and Chong Vessels,which is commonly used for periumbilical pain, diarrhea, irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, vaginal discharge, postpartum hemorrhagic syncope with syndrome of Qi collapse due to blood deficiency, hernia, edema, and intestinal obstruction, functional uterine bleeding, uterine prolapse, etc. Puncture 1 to 1.5 cun straight. Moxa moxibustion is 3 to 7 unit, or moxa moxibustion 10 to 20 minutes.

What is the meaning of Yinjiao

The substance of this point are the Qi from CV 6(Qihai) and dampness-qi of Chong Chanel and Kidney Meridian. After these Qi that intersect here forms Yin dampness-qi of the heaven,hence the name.
